Cydia is the standard app store application for jailbroken
iPhones. Jailbreaking is a process of altering the main iOS (operating system)
of your iPhone so it will run with unauthorized third-party applications. The
Cydia store works similarly to that of its "authorized' counterpart, Buy App store Ratings.
Within the Cydia store you can browse through many available applications,
provided by the hacker community, for your jailbroken phone. The process of
getting an app from Cydia is fairly straightforward.
1. Tap the Cydia icon on your iPhone to launch the store
application.
2. Tap the "Cydia Store: Products" option on the
main screen to see a random listing of currently available applications, or tap
the Search tab at the bottom of the screen to enter a specific name of an
application you'd like to install.
3. Tap the name of the desired application from the
resulting listing; then tap the "Install" button at the top of the
Installation screen. The app will then automatically download and install onto
your iPhone.
